Professor Christie is one of the panelists who will speak at a free public symposium on Site C – “We are all Treaty people” – at Douglas College in New Westminister from 6:30 to 9:30 pm on Thursday, July 5.
Why should the Site C dam be halted?
“Site C is a terrible project on every imaginable front. Myparticular passion is coming alongside land and water defenders in their fierce struggle to preserve what is sacred from the ravages of a greed-driven model of living.”
What can we do to stop it?
“We must do everything in our power to stop it, each one of us in the place where we live, in our communities and workplaces. Mass community action, and pressure on our provincial government, until they have no choice to act in favour of water and life.”
Pledge to follow the court case and speak out.
