Today marks the one-year anniversary of Premier Horgan’s terrible error in allowing construction of the Site C dam to proceed. While the Premier claimemd at the time that Site C was already past the ‘point of no return’, the people of British Columbia are not convinced. On year later, actions demanding respect for the rights of First Nations continue across the process.

The photo above was taken at the Vancouver Public Library, where members of FightC collaborated with Amnesty International Vancouver. We wrote letters and made river flags to take up to the next Paddle for the Peace.

Other actions marking continued opposition to Site C are happening in Bear Flat (yellow stake driving event), Quadra Island, Prince GeorgeVancouver, and more.

Let’s find ways to continue speak up and keep building community with the Peace Valley.
